Each spring, Arabian camels naturally shed their coats to adapt to the rising heat of the desert. Collecting the hair is not only a sustainable practice, it’s vital for the camels’ health, preventing them from ingesting loose fibres.

The fibre is gently gathered using traditional methods: hand-picking or combing, ensuring the animal’s well-being and preserving the fibre’s length and purity.

We work directly with nomadic herders across the Arabian Sahara, who have raised and roamed with camels for generations.

The hair is then cleaned, hand-sorted by colour,baled, and prepared for transformation.
