OUR LOW-IMPACT

SUSTAINABILITY
AT NOUKK

Crafted by Nature
Honoured by Us

NOUKK × Nature = N²

In this equation, value is created only when NOUKK’s actions are multiplied by respect for natural systems; if either term approaches zero, the outcome diminishes. N², therefore, represents a balanced model in which responsibility, accountability, and long-term thinking are constant variables shaping sustainable luxury.

Rethinking the

Luxury Supply Chain

The luxury industry faces growing scrutiny over environmentally intensive materials, opaque global supply chains, and disregard for animal welfare and local communities.

Yet one of the world’s most abundant natural fibres, Arabian camel hair, remains largely untapped, despite the Arabian camel representing over 80% of the global camelid population.

NOUKK addresses these industry challenges by introducing this extraordinary fibre to the world, offering a sustainable alternative rooted in heritage and built for the future.

Animal welfare

We collect the camel’s naturally shed spring coat, a process that protects the animal, honours its rhythms, and prevents digestive issues caused by self-ingested fibre. Our fibres come only from free-range camels that roam and graze freely across the desert.

We follow the Five Domains Model through our NOUKK Animal Welfare Standard (AWS), ensuring a holistic approach to camel well-being across:

Our camels are not simply sources of fibre,  they are respected guardians of the desert and cherished members of our community.

A Renewable
Desert Treasure

Naturally shed.
Hand-gathered.
Fully repurposed.

Arabian camels shed each spring and their hair is hand-gathered with care. At NOUKK, we honour every strand, from the softest baby fibre to the coarsest hairs, transforming them into textiles, upholstery, and sustainable fillers.

We aim to reduce our carbon footprint at every stage: from low-impact transport and energy-efficient processes to offset initiatives embedded in our roadmap.

Empowering
Nomadic Communities

FROM DESERT HANDS
TO GLOBAL DESIGN.

We partner directly with nomadic herders across the Arabian Sahara, together we build trusted relationships rooted in respect, fairness, and long-term impact.

To date, NOUKK has collaborated with over 145 herders across North Africa, sourcing fibre from approximately 3,000 camels, providing income opportunities in communities where Arabian camel hair was previously discarded or undervalued.

These partnerships help preserve cultural knowledge, protect traditional livelihoods, and pass on cultural know-how from one generation to the next.

We pride ourselves on continually improving and maintaining our supply chain, prioritising our social responsibility and never wavering on sustainability.
